As a member of the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce, the speaker at the last networking luncheon we attended was the Collinsville YMCA (Collinsville, Maryville and Troy). Each YMCA location raises money to support the continued programs at that particular YMCA. They aren’t just a GYM, they are a community involved in making sure EVERYONE has the ability to join the gym, join a program, or join the team!
YMCA Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that help healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Core Values: Caring: to demonstrate a sincere concern for others, for their needs and well-being.
The YMCA knows that lasting personal and social change comes about when they all work together. That’s why at the Y, strengthening community is their cause. Every day, they work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
The food and service from the Gateway Center was exceptional. Kudos to them for hosting such a great networking event and making it comfortable for all chamber members to network!
