Matt-Bjornstad of CompuType

CompuType IT Technician Matt Bjornstad spoke to the Millstadt Chamber about the daily threats to personal and business technology i.e. virus infection, ransomware, fire, water damage, storm, etc.

Matt outlined the company’s disaster recovery process and recommended that all businesses have proper backups in place for any disaster. He encouraged attendees to back up their computers daily and discussed maintaining three types of storage (two onsite and one offsite/use the cloud). Matt also suggested having proper antivirus/malware software and to only open emails from people you recognize and trust.

With proper backups, CompuType can typically restore information within a day after a loss or ransomware activation.
